BARGE HANDLERS
Pioneered by Konecranes, these huge machines fulfill the role of a ship to shore crane and mobile container transport unit in one machine. Capable of handling containers 4 wide and with negative lift facility, the Konecranes barge handlers represent the largest reachstackers in the world.

EMPTY CONTAINER HANDLERS
the Konecranes range of masted empty container handlers range from 4 to 8 high x 8’6” boxes and capacities up to 9 tonnes. All machines share the same strong Scandinavian values as the lift trucks and reach stackers and are regarded to be over-engineered for the purpose.

All machines benefit from load sensing hydraulics, wide mast structures, CanBus technology and ability for single or double handling with an optional side-shift of +/- 600mm. Customers have the additional option of high gantry mounted or low ballast mounted cab position

GANTRY/TOP LOADERS
Konecranes Gantry/Top Loaders offer both versatility and cost effective laden container handling.
All Gantry/Top Loaders benefit from the same strong Scandinavian values as the forklift equivalent and are supplied with a container spreader that can be hung in three separate ways:-
Standard drop forks – thus allowing ultimate flexibility between fork handling and container handling
Inverted forks – to offer container handling within a height restricted area. The SMV fork shaft system allows quick inter change between inverted forks and standard drop forks thus increasing versatility
Gantry – By suspending below a dedicated gantry affords the most cost effective method of laden container handling.

SPECTRA
As the name Spectra suggests, this patented design introduced by SMV in 2000, offers operators the best possible forward view. By mounting the mast beams from in front of, to alongside the driver, forward visibility is dramatically improved. If an imaginary screen, 3 metres wide by 5 metres high were placed at the fork tips; the operator would be able to see 92% of the screen as opposed to 48% through a conventional mast.

Further, by locating the mast behind the drive axle, results in the weight of the mast assembly acting as a counterbalance rather than a load thus consequently shorter or lighter machines can be supplied.
